Visit Freedom Park

Freedom Park is located on Lake Cherokee’s Persimmon Point near the Fuel Center. The Flag Display and Wall of Honor face the water and is viewable from passing boats. Parking is available at the end of Persimmon Point Rd. Shareholders can access the Park from the island through the gates using their codes.

Future plans are to build a boat dock so that the Park can be visited by land and water.

Lake Cherokee is nestled in the East Texas Piney Woods, south of Longview, east of Kilgore and north of Henderson. Surrounded by loblolly and long-leaf pines, oaks and cedar trees, this manmade lake was established in 1948 as a recreation lake and source of water for the region.
