Annual Patriotic Ceremonies
Memorial Day Ceremony
Last Monday in May
At Lake Cherokee, Memorial Day weekend is synonymous with “Summer Kick-Off”. But, when all the picnics and parties have been cleared away and all the guests have gone home, it’s time to remember why we call it Memorial Day.
Every year at 3pm on Memorial Day, always the last Monday in May, we observe the National Moment of Silence to honor military service members who died fighting in a war.
