Introducing the 6 Pillars of Freedom
FFP has had overwhelming requests to add an additional monument to honor more Veterans. After a year of thoughtful planning, members decided on a design that would be as dramatic as the Wall of Honor, yet distinct.
Six triangular Pillars will stand near the waters edge on the west side of the Park. The 2 sides facing the lake will hold 9 or 12 names depending on if it is a 5’ or 6’ Pillar. These stainless steel structures will be bolted to concrete bases. Front panels will be powder coated black and removed when enough names are ready to be engraved. The beauty of this design is that we will not have to have all 126 names at once before beginning. We will start with 3 Pillars (63 names) and add more as time goes by.
Each Veteran name will require a donation of $300 to help cover the costs of the Pillars and to make the site accessible to individuals using wheelchairs and ambulatory devices.

The image at the right was created using AI and comes close, but is not exactly how the Pillars will look when final.
