Park Benches

Freedom Park Benches are a way to honor a Veteran at Lake Cherokee Freedom Park by including their name on a polished black granite park bench.  Two benches will be on a concrete pads facing each other at a diagonal with both looking out at the lake.   Each bench back holds 8 veteran names with their service information.  Engraved names will be viewable from the water. 

The first bench is already in place and holds the name of a family of veterans. (see side image). The second bench is in progress (as of July 18, 2026)
